Canisports Scotland first race of the season at Coalsnaughton

GSP Rescue Services dogs were out in force for the first Canisports Scotland race of the season at Coalsnaughton last weekend, doing the rescue proud with numerous podium places amidst some very tough competition & big class numbers.

GSPRS Hendricks (blue fleece) stormed home to first place on both Saturday & Sunday, adding to his growing collection of gold medals.
GSPRS Isla also won gold in her two dog class both days, helped by her GSP brother Sam (two dog team).
Amazingly Youngest of the pack, wild child GSPRS Dennis completed the hatrick of double gold medals in his owners over 50’s age category class on both days, both 5.4km in length for his very first outing. (Owner in Red Top)
GSPRS Malik, looking a picture of fitness, was also on the podium both days, with bronze medals. (Owner in purple top)
Pocket rocket GSPRS Bo, affectionately known as TurBo due to her speed, helped her young handler Bradley to silver medals both days. (Junior handler)
Last but not least GSPRS Boo, with a new handler & a new category, narrowly missed podium by a mere 58seconds. (handler in blue)

Fantastic results all round from happy, active, rescue dogs loving life & proving what a versatile breed the GSP is! We are so proud of all our dogs and their new owners …..were looking forward to watching you over the rest of the season
