“This racing season saw several GSP Rescue Services dogs becoming champions in the canisports world & proving what a wonderful, versatile, & athletic breed they can be!
Competing at races within the Sled Dog Association of Scotland, Riley, with his other team mates from Team Schwartz, became Scottish Champions in the 3 Dog Rig Class, for the second year running.
More sled dog success, with two rescues, Boo & new boy Fluke, partnering up to become champions in the 2 Dog Rig class in their first season.
Another rescue boy from GSP Rescue Services, Charlie, retained his title of Bikejor Champion again this year, with his owner in the Female Category.
Malik, & his little friend Skipper (a Cypriot rescue) ran their human mum to success taking the championship in the 2 Dog Woman’s Canicross class.
Other races, this time run under Cani-Sports Scotland, saw even more gold medals for GSP Rescue Services dogs, with Hendricks becoming champion in a senior male category.
And last but not least, both Riley & Hendricks, competed in the British Championships, as part of Team Schwartz sled dog team, in the 4 Dog Rig class, gaining a national ranking of 3rd in the UK.
Gundogs … Agility dogs … Pets … Flyball dogs … Search dogs .. And now Sled dogs!
GSP’s can turn their paw to anything!
